Lajos Páncsics made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kálmán Vörös in the 4th minute of play. When György Lisztes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Vízvár LC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that György Lisztes couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Méhtelek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kálmán Vörös came free, but Lajos Páncsics reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Méhtelek FC's zone, György Lisztes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lajos Páncsics came out of the goal and György Lisztes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Péter Dénes in the 19th minute of play forced Vízvár LC's goalkeeper Áron Kállai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Méhtelek FC's zone, György Lisztes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lajos Páncsics came out of the goal and György Lisztes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. György Lisztes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Áron Kállai made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Ferenc Fekete sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Méhtelek FC's Milán Szűrös got a free kick in the 29th minute. Lajos Páncsics showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from György Lisztes in the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Péter Dénes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Méhtelek FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Péter Dénes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferenc Fekete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Vízvár LC's Zsigmond Battai couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Méhtelek FC. Vilmos Császár was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
