The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roxan Futball-Klub's Leó Szívós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medárd Lovas in the 6th minute of play. Leó Szívós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ervin Lovas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ervin Lovas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferencvárosi TC's Zsolt Hudák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ferencvárosi TC from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the game, Károly Hegyi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roxan Futball-Klub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferencvárosi TC the free kick. After 33 played minutes Roxan Futball-Klub got a freekick which was hit by Károly Hegyi. After a defensive mix-up in Ferencvárosi TC's zone, Lajos Dankó stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zsolt Hudák came out of the goal and Lajos Dankó tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Flórián Szikora fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zsolt Hudák, passed just outside the right post. Ervin Lovas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Lajos Dankó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Medárd Lovas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Roxan Futball-Klub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Szűcs to maneuver through the defense. Zsolt Hudák showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flórián Szikora in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lajos Dankó in the 58th minute of play forced Ferencvárosi TC's goalkeeper Zsolt Hudák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Medárd Lovas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leó Szívós having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flórián Szikora in the 65th minute of play forced Ferencvárosi TC's goalkeeper Zsolt Hudák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flórián Szikora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Medárd Lovas's late challenge caught a Roxan Futball-Klub's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Medárd Lovas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ferencvárosi TC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Medárd Lovas hit a great ball. Lajos Dankó received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Zsolt Hudák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajos Dankó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, József Szűcs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roxan Futball-Klub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferencvárosi TC the free kick. József Szűcs kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ferencvárosi TC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
