The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Ferencvárosi TC's goal looked a bit too open when Vencel Titkos came free, but Zsolt Hudák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zsolt Hudák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vencel Titkos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richárd Gera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Zsolt Hudák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferencvárosi TC's Zsolt Hudák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richárd Gera in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Emil Miklós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Vencel Titkos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Újpesti Ragadozók's supporters rose to their feet, but Vencel Titkos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zsolt Hudák breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zsolt Hudák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richárd Gera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zsolt Hudák showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vencel Titkos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Richárd Gera struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Zsolt Hudák didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Újpesti Ragadozók. The audience was convinced that Richárd Gera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zsolt Hudák was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. György Baló helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, György Baló hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Újpesti Ragadozók's goal looked a bit too open when Ervin Lovas came free, but Erik Kocsis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Medárd Lovas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ervin Lovas in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Kocsis saved Újpesti Ragadozók from getting behind. In the 74thth minute of the game Medárd Lovas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Újpesti Ragadozók's Erik Kocsis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vencel Titkos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Zsolt Hudák managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Újpesti Ragadozók's Richárd Gera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Medárd Lovas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Újpesti Ragadozók booed when Ferencvárosi TC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. György Baló didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Kocsis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervin Lovas in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Richárd Gera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Zsolt Hudák was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Ferencvárosi TC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Újpesti Ragadozók were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
