The Püspökladány fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ákos Görbe should have stopped the shot. Zalaegerszegi Dózsa's Valentin Sallói played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olivér Baróti in the 26th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Püspökladány's Valentin Sallói threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olivér Baróti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Zalaegerszegi Dózsa getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Richárd Pucheli hit a great ball. Gyula Károlyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olivér Baróti in the 42nd minute of play forced Zalaegerszegi Dózsa's goalkeeper Valentin Sallói to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 42nd minute of the match Kázmér Balázs completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kázmér Balázs a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Kázmér Balázs kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Olivér Baróti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olivér Baróti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
