The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Miskolc-Szirma FC defense, Gedeon Bacsó kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pál Pál. The Miskolc-Szirma FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pál Pál should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gyáli BKSE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Miskolc-Szirma FC a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frigyes Forgács, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gyáli BKSE's Miltiadis Pithagoras. 1-1. Mikail Konuralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pál Pál having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Mikail Konuralp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes, Miskolc-Szirma FC's Flórián Szentes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miltiadis Pithagoras came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Miskolc-Szirma FC reached it. In the 34th minute, Bulcsú Urbán made a precise shot to the right of Miltiadis Pithagoras. Gyáli BKSE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 37 played minutes Miskolc-Szirma FC got a freekick which was hit by János Lévay. In the 40th minute, Mikail Konuralp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pál Pál was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Miltiadis Pithagoras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bulcsú Urbán, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Lóránt Bányai reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Miltiadis Pithagoras. The goal made the score 2-3. Pál Pál took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikail Konuralp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gyáli BKSE's Ákos Pálosi got a free kick in the 55th minute. Márton Barabás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Miltiadis Pithagoras made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, Miskolc-Szirma FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gyula Andrássy came free, but Pál Pál reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miltiadis Pithagoras made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Márton Barabás sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Gyáli BKSE's Miltiadis Pithagoras got control of the ball when Márton Barabás tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gyáli BKSE's Miltiadis Pithagoras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Gyáli BKSE from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Gyáli BKSE's Miltiadis Pithagoras got control of the ball when Márton Barabás tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pál Pál took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikail Konuralp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Miklós Szuper was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Gyáli BKSE booed when Miskolc-Szirma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frigyes Forgács didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miltiadis Pithagoras came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Miskolc-Szirma FC's Lóránt Bányai. But to his dismay, Lóránt Bányai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Péter Lendvay's late challenge caught a Miskolc-Szirma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Péter Lendvay helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gyáli BKSE getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Péter Lendvay hit a great ball. Miltiadis Pithagoras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bulcsú Urbán in the 95th minute of the match. The Miskolc-Szirma FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
