After a defensive mix-up in FELDE's zone, Lázár Bögi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lajos Szűcs came out of the goal and Lázár Bögi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When FELDE's Kálmán Madaras in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Máté Nyilasi might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Máté Asztalos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Máté Nyilasi ran back to his position shaking his head. After 29 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by Elek Sári. Lajos Selymes charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lajos Selymes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, FELDE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lajos Selymes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FELDE getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Máté Nyilasi hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes FELDE got a freekick which was hit by Roland Tisza. 39 minutes into the match, Manchester City's Kornél Rahner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lajos Szűcs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of FELDE booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. György Szabadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kálmán Madaras in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Máté Asztalos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kálmán Madaras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máté Asztalos having to interfere. After the first half FELDE were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 53 minutes Manchester City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jeromos Markovits who took care of the corner kick. Radomil Drapinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máté Asztalos having to interfere. If Máté Nyilasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FELDE's Lajos Selymes got a free kick in the 61st minute. Kálmán Madaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Félix Szűrös's late challenge caught a FELDE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Félix Szűrös helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Manchester City booed when FELDE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position.
