Vérsárkány SE's Nimród Tálas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Rapid's Antal Pádár got control of the ball when Albert Puskás tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rapid's Antal Pádár proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Rapid from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Vérsárkány SE's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Marton came free, but Bandit Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Albert Puskás came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Vérsárkány SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Puskás couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Rapid's János Kónya got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Vérsárkány SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nimród Tálas to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferenc Kásás to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Vérsárkány SE's Nimród Tálas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antal Pádár. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. When Albert Puskás, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 32 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Antal Pádár was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Albert Puskáss short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Antal Pádár to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute, Patrik Marton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bandit Sarap was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Bandit Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Marton in the 40th minute of the match. Bandit Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álmos Csáki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álmos Csáki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Patrik Marton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bandit Sarap. Vérsárkány SE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrik Marton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. A collision led to Rapid getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Álmos Csáki hit a great ball. Vérsárkány SE made a substitution. Máté Kőváry replaced László Salgó. Antal Pádár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Puskás, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Albert Puskás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antal Pádár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álmos Csáki in the 61st minute of play forced Vérsárkány SE's goalkeeper Bandit Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rapid's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Krisztián Sinkó in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máté Kőváry in the 64th minute of play forced Rapid's goalkeeper Antal Pádár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Máté Kőváry came free, but Antal Pádár reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vérsárkány SE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máté Kőváry in the 73rd minute of play forced Rapid's goalkeeper Antal Pádár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes of play, Vérsárkány SE's Máté Kőváry made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antal Pádár was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patrik Marton took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bandit Sarap. Bandit Sarap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrik Marton got free with Bandit Sarap in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vérsárkány SE's Bandit Sarap proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Vérsárkány SE from getting a goal against them. After having played for 93 minutes, Albert Puskás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vérsárkány SE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Puskás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antal Pádár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Máté Kőváry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
