Pavel Horvatinčić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Peteranec booed when Umag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Birovljević didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umag's Gradimir Senta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopold Katić in the 44th minute of play. When Rene Momčilović fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peteranec's protests and gave Rene Momčilović a yellow card for diving instead. Marcel Zglavnik scored 2-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabijan Polić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
