Vinko Rapaić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Maroje in the 6th minute of play. Mladen Perazić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinko Rapaić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Vladislav Jagačić hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Valencia's Vinko Rapaić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia from getting a goal against them. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Jurovec's Silvio Maroje in the 14th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Vinko Rapaić was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Valencia through an amazing save. If Mladen Perazić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Jurovec getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Silvio Maroje hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Mladen Perazić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vinko Rapaić. Valencia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mladen Perazić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 36 minutes into the game, Mladen Perazić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Vinko Rapaić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mladen Perazić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinko Rapaić having to interfere. Vinko Rapaić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Maroje, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Silvio Maroje had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Valencia's Vinko Rapaić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Maroje in the 63rd minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jurovec's goalkeeper Ante Klancir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Vladislav Jagačić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siniša Žitnik kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Vinko Rapaić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mladen Perazić, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The referee ignored Valencia's protests and gave Vanja Lečić a yellow card for diving instead. 88 minutes into the match, Mladen Perazić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vinko Rapaić.
