After a rather tough play, Kaštel Kambelovac's Krunoslav Sušac got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Trpimir Trošelj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomislav Brajdić hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Martin Biskupović sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinko Ćuk skillfully saved the ball. If Trpimir Trošelj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Aljoša Kokan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slatina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kaštel Kambelovac the free kick. Dinko Ćuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trpimir Trošelj in the 42nd minute of play. Franjo Radovanović took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miroslav Priselac. Slatina's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Borko Gačić fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slatina's protests and gave Borko Gačić a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kaštel Kambelovac booed when Slatina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Borko Gačić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Domljanović to maneuver through the defense. Krsto Muhar charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
