The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ladislav Škrmeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislav Škrmeta kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Marin Bošnjaković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Marinko Šokota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinko Ćuk. Kaštel Kambelovac's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marinko Šokota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marin Bošnjaković scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dinko Ćuk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivan Burgund hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kaštel Kambelovac getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Vjenceslav Uzelac hit a great ball. Lumbarda Udarnik's Marin Bošnjaković got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vjenceslav Uzelac during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Vjenceslav Uzelac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Burgund succeeded in the game's 36th minute to get real power on a long shot . Kaštel Kambelovac's Dinko Ćuk hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-3! Marinko Šokota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinko Ćuk having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Lumbarda Udarnik's Marin Bošnjaković sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dinko Ćuk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Lumbarda Udarnik were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ladislav Škrmeta to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Borislav Ivanišević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florijan Rimac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomislav Brajdić during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kaštel Kambelovac getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tomislav Brajdić hit a great ball. Lumbarda Udarnik's Ivan Burgund couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kaštel Kambelovac. Dinko Ćuk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marin Bošnjaković's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Tomislav Brajdić kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Kaštel Kambelovac's goalkeeper Dinko Ćuk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marinko Šokota. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marinko Šokota got free with Dinko Ćuk in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dinko Ćuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Bošnjaković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marin Bošnjaković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinko Ćuk having to interfere. Cvjetko Sanader kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Lumbarda Udarnik's Florijan Rimac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislav Škrmeta in the 87th minute of play. When the match was over Lumbarda Udarnik could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kaštel Kambelovac throughout the match.
