The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rikard Milanković helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Dubrovčan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikard Milanković to maneuver through the defense. Dubrovčan's Miodrag Bauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dado Renje in the 9th minute of play. Oporovec Polet's Relja Tuškan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordan Osrečak in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Gordan Osrečak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Relja Tuškan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute Krsto Erdelez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miodrag Bauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gordan Osrečak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 33 minutes, Krsto Erdelez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oporovec Polet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Krsto Erdelez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Krsto Erdelez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miodrag Bauer was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Oliver Leib had to leave the field with a concussion. 36 minutes into the game, Zlatan Mitić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dubrovčan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oporovec Polet the free kick. A collision led to Dubrovčan getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Zlatan Mitić hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dubrovčan's zone, Dado Renje stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miodrag Bauer came out of the goal and Dado Renje tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dado Renje kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. With a little luck, Oporovec Polet's Relja Tuškan got control of the ball when Želimir Korkut tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Dubrovčan's goal looked a bit too open when Dado Renje came free, but Miodrag Bauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Želimir Korkut made a kick off. In the 54th minute Dubrovčan were awarded a corner. Vlatko Dodaj went to the cornerflag to take it. Dubrovčan's Vlatko Dodaj was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Relja Tuškan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Dubrovčan's zone, Dado Renje stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miodrag Bauer came out of the goal and Dado Renje tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oporovec Polet's Dado Renje got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dado Renje recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Želimir Korkut struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Relja Tuškan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dubrovčan. Miodrag Bauer made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Dado Renje sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Dubrovčan's zone, Dado Renje stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miodrag Bauer came out of the goal and Dado Renje tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dado Renje could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Miodrag Bauer made a huge save. In the 84th minute of the match, Dado Renje got a very nice opportunity to score, but Miodrag Bauer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Dado Renje managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oporovec Polet's supporters rose to their feet, but Dado Renje was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miodrag Bauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute Želimir Korkut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Relja Tuškan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
