Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gordan Osrečak made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Želimir Korkut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dubrovčan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Želimir Korkut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Stjepan Dedaj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Želimir Korkut succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 19 played minutes Dubrovčan got a freekick which was hit by Rikard Milanković. The supporters of Dubrovčan booed when NK Maksimir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Vračarić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vlatko Dodaj took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vladimir Stjelja. NK Maksimir's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gordan Osrečak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stjepan Dedaj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. August Ladović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Miodrag Bauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute August Ladović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miodrag Bauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Dubrovčan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatan Mitić to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes Dubrovčan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vjekoslav Šterger who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Edi Oremuš managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Filip Martinčević fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NK Maksimir's protests and gave Filip Martinčević a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dubrovčan booed when NK Maksimir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lazar Guščić didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Želimir Korkut cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Vladimir Stjelja was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. NK Maksimir's Lazar Guščić shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Miodrag Bauer but with some difficulty. Gordan Osrečak scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimir Stjelja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vladimir Stjelja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatan Mitić in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes in the game, Stjepan Dedaj fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Miodrag Bauer having to interfere. Gordan Osrečak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Stjelja having to make a save. Vladimir Stjelja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Želimir Korkut in the 80th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Vedran Kramar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimir Stjelja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordan Osrečak, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Stjepan Dedaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
