Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 2 minutes, Ivo Mađarević mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lipovljani and the FC Grobnik United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lipovljani getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ivo Mađarević hit a great ball. 9 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when FC Grobnik United's Stanko Žalik fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The supporters of FC Grobnik United booed when Lipovljani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Većeslav Tkalec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ratko Krešan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanko Žalik, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes Lipovljani got a freekick which was hit by Ilko Sladić. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladislav Kranjčar got free with Stojko Alimanović in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanko Žalik in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ratko Krešan saved Lipovljani from getting behind. Stojko Alimanović was a little too slow when Vice Zafranović got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 26th minute, Roko Topol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Većeslav Sviben had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ratko Krešan. Lipovljani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Većeslav Sviben was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Stanko Žalik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ratko Krešan having to interfere. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Stanko Žalik sped through Lipovljani's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ratko Krešan. FC Grobnik United's Stojko Alimanović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vice Zafranović in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Vice Zafranović made the kick off in the second half. Većeslav Sviben in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ratko Krešan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stojko Alimanović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vice Zafranović in the 57th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Vice Zafranović notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of FC Grobnik United's Stojko Alimanović. Stojko Alimanović was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vladislav Kranjčar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stojko Alimanović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th minute Vladislav Kranjčar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stojko Alimanović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanko Žalik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ratko Krešan having to make a save. Blaženko Matešić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stojko Alimanović having to interfere. If Damir Selak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stanko Žalik was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. FC Grobnik United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ratko Krešan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Većeslav Sviben, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
