Boris Bježančević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikola Junaković having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Boris Bježančević managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boris Bježančević was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopold Čobanov in the 16th minute of play forced Sukošan Ribar's goalkeeper Nikola Junaković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilijan Medić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Božidar Šegovac having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sukošan Ribar's Franko Plavec got a free kick in the 25th minute. Robert Ptiček sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Većeslav Ševerdija charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Većeslav Ševerdija the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Balube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Većeslav Ševerdija to maneuver through the defense. After 33 minutes, Borna Nalis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sukošan Ribar and the Balube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Balube booed when Sukošan Ribar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Borna Nalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilijan Medić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert Ptiček blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Božidar Šegovac having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Nikola Junaković took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Klarić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Balube's Boris Bježančević in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sukošan Ribar's goalie prevented a goal. Leopold Čobanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Gustav Klarić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sukošan Ribar the free kick. Gustav Klarić kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match Mihael Pauk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Božidar Šegovac skillfully saved the ball. In the 66th minute, Franko Plavec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomo Teur kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Vlatko Diaz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikola Junaković showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 72 played minutes Sukošan Ribar got a freekick which was hit by Borna Nalis. If Boris Bježančević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Ptiček got free with Božidar Šegovac in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leopold Čobanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nikola Junaković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopold Čobanov in the 88th minute of play forced Sukošan Ribar's goalkeeper Nikola Junaković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Božidar Šegovac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilijan Medić in the 92nd minute of play. Balube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
