Blaž Puzak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zdenko Đapić went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 8 minutes into the match, Zdenko Đapić notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Dragonožec's Blaž Puzak. Blaž Puzak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragonožec's goalkeeper Blaž Puzak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Danijel Šeks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaž Puzak having to interfere. Oliver Mamlić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jadranko Treger made a huge save. If Zdenko Đapić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danijel Šeks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Blaž Puzak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Đakovački Selci's Jadranko Treger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bojan Viduka in the 24th minute of play. Zdenko Đapić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danijel Šeks made a kick off. When Zdenko Đapić came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Đakovački Selci fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zdenko Đapić couldn't finish the play. Oliver Mamlić hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danijel Šeks in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blaž Puzak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Oliver Mamlić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Silvije Klaić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65thth minute of the game Danijel Šeks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragonožec's Blaž Puzak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zdenko Đapić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Blaž Puzak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danijel Šeks in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Dragonožec's goalkeeper Blaž Puzak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zdenko Đapić. Zdenko Đapić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blaž Puzak having to make a save. In the 88th minute, Zdenko Đapić fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 93 minutes into the match, Zdenko Đapić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blaž Puzak. Dragonožec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zdenko Đapić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 98 minutes into the match, Đakovački Selci's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Mamlić came free, but Jadranko Treger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Đakovački Selci's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
