The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomica Jelavić got free with Blaž Puzak in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vilim Stipančević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bojan Viduka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Bojan Viduka notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of KK Dubrovnik's Vilim Stipančević. Vilim Stipančević was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bojan Viduka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vilim Stipančević tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bojan Viduka was the one to do the kick off. Vilim Stipančević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bojan Viduka in the 53rd minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragonožec's goalkeeper Blaž Puzak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Dragonožec defense, Tomica Jelavić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blaž Puzak. The Dragonožec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blaž Puzak should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
