After a rather tough play, Zvijerci Vitez's Ljubomir Birkić got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Zvijerci Vitez booed when GNK dinamo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Goran Ćalaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Goran Ćalaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zvonimir Stanković stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernest Šturbek's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Bernard Šerbedžija recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernest Šturbek might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zvonimir Stanković. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernest Šturbek ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes into the match, Zvijerci Vitez's goalkeeper Stjepan Karapandža had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Resanović. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Šturbek couldn't finish the play. Roman Župančić didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Franko Čermak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zvijerci Vitez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GNK dinamo the free kick. After 45 played minutes Zvijerci Vitez got a freekick which was hit by Franko Čermak. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Šturbek in the 47th minute of play forced GNK dinamo's goalkeeper Zvonimir Stanković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jan Resanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Stjepan Karapandža tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Miodrag Osmanlić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Zvijerci Vitez getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Franko Čermak hit a great ball. Stjepan Karapandža showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Brozović in the 60th minute of the match. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Bernard Šerbedžija recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zvonimir Stanković. Bernard Šerbedžija showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Stjepan Karapandža showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Brozović in the 79th minute of the match. If Alan Nikšić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zvijerci Vitez were furious when Ljubomir Birkić was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Stjepan Karapandža went to the wrong direction when Bojan Rendić was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zvijerci Vitez's goalkeeper Stjepan Karapandža, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Zvijerci Vitez failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
