Marijan Mihalić came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Matko Horvatović could save by the left post. Natko Tomaš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lazar Karelović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matko Horvatović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 41 minutes of play, Bijeljevina FK's Marijan Mihalić made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matko Horvatović was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matko Horvatović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ištvan Jerbić in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jure Šagarjelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ištvan Jerbić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matko Horvatović having to make a save. In the 54th minute of the match Kruno Vizek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matko Horvatović showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matko Horvatović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marijan Mihalić, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Natko Tomaš kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lazar Karelović. That made the score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. Marijan Mihalić scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matko Horvatović, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marijan Mihalić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. NK MLADOST BUZIN's Matko Horvatović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ištvan Jerbić in the 71st minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Bijeljevina FK's goal looked a bit too open when Trpimir Lučev came free, but Lazar Karelović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natko Tomaš could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Lazar Karelović made a huge save. Matko Horvatović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ištvan Jerbić in the 84th minute of the match. Matko Horvatović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ištvan Jerbić in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Donat Podhraški hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marijan Mihalić came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Bijeljevina FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marijan Mihalić couldn't finish the play.
