Šimun Bacinger in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dado Basioli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Smokvica Graničar's Dado Basioli got control of the ball when Šimun Bacinger tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Smokvica Graničar getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Zdravko Štefan hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Smokvica Graničar's goal looked a bit too open when Oto Fučkan came free, but Dado Basioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Šimun Bacinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bektež's Oto Fučkan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Šimun Bacinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dado Basioli having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Toma Ortika mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smokvica Graničar and the Bektež players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Smokvica Graničar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Bektež a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Albert Stilinović, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Smokvica Graničar's Dado Basioli. 2-0. Dado Basioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oto Fučkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Dado Basioli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oto Fučkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

55 minutes into the match, Frano Pinjatela notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Smokvica Graničar's Dado Basioli. Dado Basioli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toma Višak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Petar Korbar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petar Korbar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toma Višak in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Bektež's Petar Korbar got control of the ball when Krešo Jurčević tried to sneak it across the goal line. Šimun Bacinger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Šimun Bacinger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bektež's supporters rose to their feet, but Šimun Bacinger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dado Basioli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes, Oto Fučkan made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Smokvica Graničar's Dado Basioli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Krešo Jurčević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Toma Višak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smokvica Graničar's supporters rose to their feet, but Toma Višak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petar Korbar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Bektež getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Frano Pinjatela hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Oto Fučkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dado Basioli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Šimun Bacinger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dado Basioli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bektež's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
