Krsto Malbaša recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Krsto Malbaša's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petar Korbar was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. If Šimun Bacinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Šimun Bacinger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bektež's supporters rose to their feet, but Šimun Bacinger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dušan Markulj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oto Fučkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dušan Markulj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Oto Fučkan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bektež's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oto Fučkan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute Oto Fučkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dušan Markulj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dušan Markulj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oto Fučkan in the 19th minute of the match. When Marin Gospić came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Ivanbegovina Dinamo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Gospić couldn't finish the play. Frano Pinjatela's late challenge caught a Ivanbegovina Dinamo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frano Pinjatela helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Frano Pinjatela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34thth minute of the game Marin Gospić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bektež's Petar Korbar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oto Fučkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dušan Markulj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Bektež's goal looked a bit too open when Krsto Malbaša came free, but Petar Korbar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Krsto Malbaša was the one to do the kick off. Šimun Bacinger charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Šimun Bacinger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 54 minutes into the game, Marin Gospić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ivanbegovina Dinamo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bektež the free kick. In the 54th minute, Marin Gospić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Oto Fučkan made a precise shot to the right of Dušan Markulj. Ivanbegovina Dinamo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 63 minutes into the match, Ivanbegovina Dinamo's goal looked a bit too open when Šimun Bacinger came free, but Dušan Markulj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oto Fučkan in the 68th minute of play forced Ivanbegovina Dinamo's goalkeeper Dušan Markulj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Krsto Malbaša fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petar Korbar having to interfere. After 78 minutes, Nikša Sladić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bektež and the Ivanbegovina Dinamo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Bektež was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikša Sladić to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ivanbegovina Dinamo getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Nenad Pogorelić hit a great ball. Šimun Bacinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dušan Markulj having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Bektež's Oto Fučkan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dušan Markulj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Oto Fučkan struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Dušan Markulj didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bektež. Bektež's Šimun Bacinger got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bektež had won after a very even match.
