After 11 played minutes Mokošica NK got a freekick which was hit by Dragutin Šuica. If Neven Knežić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ratko Antolković in the 14th minute of play forced Križ Slavija's goalkeeper Julije Bobić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Križ Slavija's Nino Čobanov was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Križ Slavija's goal looked a bit too open when Gašpar Beneš came free, but Julije Bobić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilija Uremović didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neven Knežić went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ilija Uremović made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neven Knežić in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mokošica NK's zone, Neven Knežić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilija Uremović came out of the goal and Neven Knežić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Mokošica NK's goalkeeper Ilija Uremović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neven Knežić. Roman Čanković charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Čanković the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roman Čanković kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ilija Uremović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nino Čobanov in the 42nd minute of the match. Neven Knežić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Uremović having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Neven Knežić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Uremović having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Križ Slavija's Mirko Jurišić got a free kick in the 55th minute. Križ Slavija's Julije Bobić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ratko Antolković in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Nino Čobanov made a precise shot to the right of Ilija Uremović. Mokošica NK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Julije Bobić was a little too slow when Ratko Antolković got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 3-2. Ratko Antolković's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julije Bobić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Mladen Kožulj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Dobriša Tošić in the 79th minute really tested Julije Bobić's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ilija Uremović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neven Knežić in the 89th minute of the match. Križ Slavija's Neven Knežić got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Križ Slavija's Nino Čobanov got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gašpar Beneš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Križ Slavija's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
