The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Patrik Bauer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gojko Školjarev. Patrik Bauer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Dubravko Maroević came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Potnjani Mladost fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dubravko Maroević couldn't finish the play. If Dubravko Maroević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Slavko Dvornik fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potnjani Mladost's protests and gave Slavko Dvornik a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Potnjani Mladost's Slavko Dvornik got a free kick in the 18th minute. Isak Rozga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stjepan Vlašić having to interfere. Patrik Bauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gojko Školjarev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Vjeran Gugić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stjepan Vlašić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jasenko Trohar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stjepan Vlašić having to interfere. In the 35thth minute of the game Vjeran Gugić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Potnjani Mladost's Stjepan Vlašić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Lovaš Budućnost's Gojko Školjarev got control of the ball when Patrik Bauer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stjepan Vlašić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasenko Trohar in the 40th minute of the match. Slavko Dvornik hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vjeran Gugić made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Potnjani Mladost's Patrik Bauer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gojko Školjarev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Potnjani Mladost's goalkeeper Stjepan Vlašić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Potnjani Mladost's Patrik Bauer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gojko Školjarev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 64 played minutes Lovaš Budućnost got a freekick which was hit by Isak Rozga. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jasenko Trohar got free with Stjepan Vlašić in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stjepan Vlašić acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ljubo Alajbeg. Isak Rozga got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 73 minutes of play, Potnjani Mladost's Patrik Bauer made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gojko Školjarev was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Potnjani Mladost getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Dubravko Maroević hit a great ball. When Vjeran Gugić fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lovaš Budućnost's protests and gave Vjeran Gugić a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, Lovaš Budućnost was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vjeran Gugić to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dubravko Maroević in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gojko Školjarev saved Lovaš Budućnost from getting behind. In the 86th match minute, Lovaš Budućnost was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stipe Rak to maneuver through the defense. Patrik Bauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gojko Školjarev having to interfere. If Patrik Bauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jasenko Trohar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jasenko Trohar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lovaš Budućnost's supporters rose to their feet, but Jasenko Trohar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stjepan Vlašić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Potnjani Mladost had won after a very even match.
