The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ilan Rodić's late challenge caught a Carlstadt F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vrgorac Krka's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Teodor Šoljaga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 13 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Teo Mel was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Carlstadt F.C.'s goalkeeper Teo Mel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zlatan Ćaleta. A collision led to Vrgorac Krka getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Niko Žugčić hit a great ball. Boris Rožić struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Mario Krušlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carlstadt F.C.. Vladan Barbarić's late challenge caught a Carlstadt F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ljudevit Lacković in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Krušlin saved Vrgorac Krka from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Vrgorac Krka's goal looked a bit too open when Ljudevit Lacković came free, but Mario Krušlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Srđan Kardum notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vrgorac Krka's Mario Krušlin. Mario Krušlin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ljudevit Lacković to strike the kick off in the second half. When Edi Modrić fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vrgorac Krka's protests and gave Edi Modrić a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carlstadt F.C.'s Mauro Gorički got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Teodor Šoljaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Mel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Teodor Šoljaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vrgorac Krka's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodor Šoljaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo Mel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teo Mel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlstadt F.C.'s Teo Mel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatan Ćaleta in the 65th minute of play. Ljudevit Lacković's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Krušlin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play.
