The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 3 in the game by Ivica Žalik from a close distance when the talented Ante Stipančić managed to make a qualified save. Skučani's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Srđan Bak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slakovec Naprijed's supporters rose to their feet, but Srđan Bak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ante Stipančić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Skučani getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Janko Mihaljinec hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Skučani's zone, Ivica Žalik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ante Stipančić came out of the goal and Ivica Žalik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Borislav Vulinec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Slakovec Naprijed's goal looked a bit too open when Šandor Vuković came free, but Vatroslav Zec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Šandor Vuković in the 26th minute of play forced Slakovec Naprijed's goalkeeper Vatroslav Zec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Slakovec Naprijed's Dejan Bedeković got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Slakovec Naprijed's goalkeeper Vatroslav Zec, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Borislav Vulinec came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Slakovec Naprijed fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borislav Vulinec couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Borislav Vulinec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vatroslav Zec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Šandor Vuković in the 51st minute of the match. If Borislav Vulinec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Skučani's goal looked a bit too open when Borislav Vulinec came free, but Ante Stipančić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Borislav Vulinec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ante Stipančić having to interfere. When Arijan Ortika fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skučani's protests and gave Arijan Ortika a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Skučani's Arijan Ortika got a free kick in the 63rd minute. When Slakovec Naprijed's Ivica Žalik in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skučani's goalie prevented a goal. Vatroslav Zec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Šandor Vuković in the 68th minute of the match. Skučani's Ante Stipančić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borislav Vulinec in the 74th minute of play. Janko Mihaljinec hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Borislav Vulinec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Skučani getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Klement Škare hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Slakovec Naprijed's Toni Osrečak broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Borislav Vulinec struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ante Stipančić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slakovec Naprijed. If Arijan Ortika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Skučani eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
