Stipe Podhraški's late challenge caught a Hreljin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stipe Podhraški helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Krk HNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stipe Podhraški to maneuver through the defense. In the 11thth minute Vinko Črlenec got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Ruđer Žurić was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. In the 13th minute, Antun Kukolj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Augustin Trevižan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Augustin Trevižan fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Krk HNK's protests and gave Augustin Trevižan a yellow card for diving instead. Augustin Trevižan hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the game, Vinko Črlenec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ruđer Žurić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Antun Kukolj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 minutes, Andro Krstulović mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hreljin and the Krk HNK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Andro Krstulović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Hreljin's zone, Stipe Podhraški stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Veljko Šuvak came out of the goal and Stipe Podhraški tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Antun Kukolj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Krk HNK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Augustin Trevižan hit a great ball. Veljko Šuvak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stipe Podhraški in the 78th minute. Antun Kukolj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Veljko Šuvak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Živković, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Hreljin's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Živković came free, but Veljko Šuvak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Hreljin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinko Črlenec to maneuver through the defense. Toni Živković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veljko Šuvak having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hreljin had won after a very even match.
