Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Red Devils's Stjepko Staničić started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Stanislaw Maziarski fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brezovica's protests and gave Stanislaw Maziarski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brezovica getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Stanislaw Maziarski hit a great ball. Tord Åkerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stjepko Staničić in the 7th minute of play. Toni Bandić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Åkerman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislaw Maziarski in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clayton Zaragoza saved Red Devils from getting behind. Tord Åkerman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Bandić in the 14th minute. Toni Bandić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Brezovica's Tord Åkerman got control of the ball when Toni Bandić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucijan Vuković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Red Devils's Bermejo Olavarría got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Brezovica booed when Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomo Peti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tord Åkerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stjepko Staničić in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislaw Maziarski in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clayton Zaragoza saved Red Devils from getting behind. 35 minutes into the game, Mihael Pavlovec was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brezovica the free kick. In the 37th minute, Toni Bandić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Zvonimir Kaurić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Stanislaw Maziarski made the kick off in the second half. Tord Åkerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stjepko Staničić, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Toni Bandić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Åkerman having to interfere. Lucijan Vuković's late challenge caught a Red Devils's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucijan Vuković helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Stanislaw Maziarski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Toni Bandić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tord Åkerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stjepko Staničić in the 79th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Brezovica got a freekick which was hit by Albert Đureš. 83 minutes into the match, Brezovica's goal looked a bit too open when Stjepko Staničić came free, but Tord Åkerman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Stanislaw Maziarski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clayton Zaragoza was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Tord Åkerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stjepko Staničić in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomo Peti in the 96th minute of play forced Brezovica's goalkeeper Tord Åkerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Red Devils players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
