With a couple of smart ball manuevers Régis Mesnil in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benoit Izard saved Rivery from getting behind. After having played for 14 minutes, Hugues Coudurier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugues Coudurier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugues Coudurier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Renan Bernon made a huge save. After having played for 17 minutes, Olivier Gossard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olivier Gossard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renan Bernon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olivier Gossard in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Régis Mesnil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benoit Izard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Saint Aygulf's Renan Bernon got control of the ball when Hugues Coudurier tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Olivier Gossard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renan Bernon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olivier Gossard in the 35th minute of the match. Renan Bernon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivier Gossard in the 40th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Rivery's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Letard came free, but Benoit Izard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Régis Mesnil made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Saint Aygulf's goal looked a bit too open when Hugues Coudurier came free, but Renan Bernon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Florent Jamois in the 57th minute really tested Benoit Izard's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 59 played minutes Saint Aygulf got a freekick which was hit by Youssef Tosi. 62 minutes into the game, Olivier Gossard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rivery's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saint Aygulf the free kick. After 63 played minutes Rivery got a freekick which was hit by Olivier Gossard. Saint Aygulf's Lorenzo Letard got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rivery's Olivier Gossard in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saint Aygulf's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Marien during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rivery booed when Saint Aygulf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Marien didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Alexandre Kwiatkowski made a precise shot to the right of Renan Bernon. Saint Aygulf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Thibaut Le Fevre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Renan Bernon. Saint Aygulf's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Hugues Coudurier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saint Aygulf's Renan Bernon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olivier Gossard in the 85th minute of play. Olivier Gossard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Bernon having to interfere. Rivery's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
