Rivery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugues Coudurier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 11 played minutes Ballainvilliers got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Crevel. Thomas Sylla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benoit Izard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Rivery getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Benjamin Molinari hit a great ball. Corentin Schaeffer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benoit Izard having to make a save. Hugues Coudurier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dilan Cabane having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Corentin Schaeffer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benoit Izard was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Ballainvilliers's zone, Hugues Coudurier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dilan Cabane came out of the goal and Hugues Coudurier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dilan Cabane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olivier Gossard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Rivery's Hugues Coudurier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dilan Cabane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The Ballainvilliers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rivery were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Olivier Gossard made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, one of Rivery:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rivery. The referee gave Ballainvilliers a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Olivier Planchon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rivery's Benoit Izard. 1-2. After 60 minutes Ballainvilliers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leon Debas who took care of the corner kick. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballainvilliers's goalkeeper Dilan Cabane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benoit Izard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Sylla in the 70th minute of the match. Achille Leboulanger kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Hugues Coudurier fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
