Tanguy Pujos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coulaines. After 28 played minutes Caen got a freekick which was hit by Hugues Pilet. Romuald Bourge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tanguy Pujos made a huge save. Celestin Maret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofiane Lepere, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Sofiane Lepere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malik Perdrix was the one to do the kick off. Tanguy Pujos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malik Perdrix in the 52nd minute of play. Flavien Piette charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavien Piette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacques Montagnier went to the cornerflag to take it. Simon Perry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Celestin Maret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Sofiane Lepere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Caen booed when Coulaines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sacha Aussel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tanguy Pujos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malik Perdrix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Caen's goal looked a bit too open when Romuald Bourge came free, but Tanguy Pujos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Caen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavian Bouteloup to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Caen's goalkeeper Tanguy Pujos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 89 minutes, Simon Perry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Perry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coulaines's Celestin Maret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Perry in the 91st minute of play.
