Harold Troude made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hocine Juillet in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, XoudaillesYerres's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Messager came free, but Harold Troude reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Messager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Harold Troude tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Karim Guennec sped through Coulaines's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Auguste Mazaud. In the 39th minute, Guy Defaux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugene Bonneton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold Troude having to interfere. A collision led to XoudaillesYerres getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Messager to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in XoudaillesYerres's zone, Patrick Messager stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold Troude came out of the goal and Patrick Messager tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute Eugene Bonneton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harold Troude saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Coulaines's Patrick Messager in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Coulaines's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Karim Guennec scored to the left of an out of position Auguste Mazaud, making the score, 1-3.
