Constantin Pepin struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Felicien Caulier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saliers. 8 minutes into the game, Roumare's Francois Mathey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julien Dupuy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Roumare defense, Franklin Cloix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felicien Caulier. The Roumare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felicien Caulier should have stopped the shot. Julien Dupuy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francois Mathey, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With his leg Felicien Caulier managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Saliers's Joris Peyrou fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Constantin Pepin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julien Dupuy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francois Mathey went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 25 played minutes Saliers got a freekick which was hit by Darren Sissoko. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Francois Mathey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roumare's supporters rose to their feet, but Francois Mathey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julien Dupuy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julien Dupuy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francois Mathey in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges Monet in the 39th minute of play forced Saliers's goalkeeper Julien Dupuy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Constantin Pepin during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Roumare booed when Saliers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Pepin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Georges Monet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Julien Dupuy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Saliers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Roumare were winning 1-2.
Felicien Caulier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joris Peyrou, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Felicien Caulier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Pepin in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges Monet in the 56th minute of play forced Saliers's goalkeeper Julien Dupuy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georges Monet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julien Dupuy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Saliers booed when Roumare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georges Monet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francois Mathey came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julien Dupuy could save by the left post. Julien Dupuy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges Monet, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Franklin Cloix charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Cloix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Saliers got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Cloix. 71 minutes into the match, Georges Monet dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julien Dupuy, 1-3. In the 75th minute, Roumare's Kevin Baudel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kevin Baudel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Roumare protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kevin Baudel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Roumare:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Saliers:s goal. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Saliers. Joseph Bekaert stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Felicien Caulier. 2-3. The audience was convinced that Joris Peyrou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felicien Caulier was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Saliers's Joris Peyrou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felicien Caulier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Roumare's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Pepin came free, but Felicien Caulier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roumare's Felicien Caulier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joris Peyrou in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Joris Peyrou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saliers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joris Peyrou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
