The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxence Beauvallet during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mesinges getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Maxence Beauvallet hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannick Diard in the 4th minute of play forced Plaine's goalkeeper Constantin Contal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renaud Passet kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Romeo Valentini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Constantin Contal. Plaine's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julien Raguenes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Flavien Guerin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregory Pauvert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Laur, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Mesinges's goal looked a bit too open when Flavien Guerin came free, but Gregory Pauvert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Plaine got a freekick which was hit by Julien Raguenes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julien Raguenes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Plaine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Pacaud to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match Romeo Valentini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantin Contal skillfully saved the ball. Denis Laur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Pauvert having to interfere. Julien Raguenes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Gregory Pauvert made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Plaine's Julien Raguenes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregory Pauvert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Albert Pacaud fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plaine's protests and gave Albert Pacaud a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Plaine getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Albert Pacaud hit a great ball. Philippe Hainaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Constantin Contal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Philippe Hainaut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Contal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Philippe Hainaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Plaine's goal looked a bit too open when Philippe Hainaut came free, but Constantin Contal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Plaine's Denis Laur got a free kick in the 91st minute. Philippe Hainaut struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Constantin Contal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesinges. Mesinges's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
