Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when William Plaud got the match started through his kick off. William Plaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Albert Skrzypczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sète's Corentin Mortier got a free kick in the 7th minute. Valentin Magnard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Albert Skrzypczak made a huge save. After 9 played minutes Sète got a freekick which was hit by Corentin Mortier. In the 11th minute William Plaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Skrzypczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabri Theobald kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes Sète got a freekick which was hit by Corentin Mortier. Thanks to some nice moves Valentin Magnard could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Albert Skrzypczak however easily saved by the left post. If Franck Fourreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franck Fourreau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Magnard got free with Albert Skrzypczak in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Skrzypczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Valles in the 37th minute of play. If Franck Fourreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Champanges defense, Jerome Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aymerick Jacob. The Champanges fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aymerick Jacob should have stopped the shot. Valentin Magnard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Albert Skrzypczak made a huge save. After the first half Sète were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franck Fourreau to make the kick off. Jerome Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franck Fourreau might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aymerick Jacob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franck Fourreau ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William Plaud in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albert Skrzypczak saved Sète from getting behind. Valentin Magnard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sète getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Geoffrey Chambert hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Magnard in the 72nd minute of play forced Sète's goalkeeper Albert Skrzypczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Champanges's goalkeeper Aymerick Jacob, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, William Plaud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Champanges's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Plaud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. William Plaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Magnard in the 86th minute of play forced Sète's goalkeeper Albert Skrzypczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Magnard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Skrzypczak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Marc Valles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Champanges's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sète the free kick. In the 96th minute, Marc Valles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sète supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sète would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
