In the 31st minute, Ulysse Magaud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Ulysse Magaud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peypin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jean Genty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peypin's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Genty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc-Antoine Chapel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulysse Magaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Patrick Legoupil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrick Legoupil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Legoupil in the 56th minute of play forced Peypin's goalkeeper Eric Desormeaux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jean Genty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Massane's Alix Lagrue got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eric Desormeaux. Hubert Dubreuil was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Massane:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peypin:s goal. Franklin Brenot shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Renaud Rea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peypin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Renaud Rea scored to the left of an out of position Eric Desormeaux, making the score, 2-2. Achille Josse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marc-Antoine Chapel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Genty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Desormeaux made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Achille Josse sent off a good shot on target. If Harry Ramel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Massane players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Peypin from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
