Ternay's Barthelemy Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ternay from getting a goal against them. Eymeric Marquer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Barthelemy Meyer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Barthelemy Meyer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerome Candau's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Barthelemy Meyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eymeric Marquer in the 11th minute. After 14 played minutes, Bourghelles's Francis Messina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Barthelemy Meyer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bourghelles reached it. If Jerome Candau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Jerome Candau in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Barthelemy Meyer was a little too slow when Jerome Candau got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 26th minute, Bourghelles's Jerome Candau dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Karim Levasseur kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Eymeric Marquer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Barthelemy Meyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ternay's Karim Levasseur in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bourghelles's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Brice Fourment managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ternay's supporters rose to their feet, but Brice Fourment was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geoffrey Bourry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bourghelles's Jerome Candau got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bourghelles's zone, Brice Fourment stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geoffrey Bourry came out of the goal and Brice Fourment tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerome Candau to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bourghelles's Paul Ripoche got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The corner ended in Hocine Hennequin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bourghelles's Geoffrey Bourry did a great save. Barthelemy Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eymeric Marquer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Guy Cauchois fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ternay's protests and gave Guy Cauchois a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Ternay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy Cauchois to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Romeo Sergent sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barthelemy Meyer skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute Jerome Candau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barthelemy Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bourghelles's Geoffrey Bourry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Levasseur in the 68th minute of play. Barthelemy Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eymeric Marquer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eymeric Marquer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Guy Cauchois hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eymeric Marquer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barthelemy Meyer having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bourghelles fully deserved thier win.
