Benoit Dumay made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Anatole Sauret sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute, Anatole Sauret reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benoit Dumay. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 14th minute Théodore Hémery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benoit Dumay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If William Caillaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute, Jonathan Coutelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marius Mony might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cédric Bellegarde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marius Mony ran back to his position shaking his head. When Gémenos's William Caillaud in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Durlande's goalie prevented a goal. Marius Mony fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cédric Bellegarde having to interfere. Cédric Bellegarde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Caillaud, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Yannick Loux kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes of play, Gémenos's William Caillaud made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cédric Bellegarde was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Gémenos's Benoit Dumay got control of the ball when Anatole Sauret tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Théodore Hémery in the 33rd minute of play forced Gémenos's goalkeeper Benoit Dumay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Caillaud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cédric Bellegarde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Gémenos booed when Durlande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Coutelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cédric Bellegarde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Caillaud in the 42nd minute of play. Anatole Sauret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Théodore Hémery was the one to do the kick off. Cédric Bellegarde made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Marius Mony sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute Théodore Hémery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benoit Dumay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Gémenos's Marius Mony sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cédric Bellegarde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cédric Bellegarde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Ernest Lagneau charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernest Lagneau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 91 minutes, Gémenos's Arnold Juillard got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cédric Bellegarde. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatole Sauret in the 96th minute of play forced Gémenos's goalkeeper Benoit Dumay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Théodore Hémery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durlande's supporters rose to their feet, but Théodore Hémery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benoit Dumay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gémenos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
