Marin Traore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaetan Le Bastard in the 27th minute of the match. If Cesar Barel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Reyrieux's zone, Cesar Barel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marin Traore came out of the goal and Cesar Barel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaetan Le Bastard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Reyrieux booed when Don was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwan Fey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Joffrey Bouhier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Laurain. Don's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joffrey Bouhier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelson Legentil was the one to do the kick off. Denis Laurain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Legentil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Laurain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Legentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Faustin Baudoux charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustin Baudoux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Faustin Baudoux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cyril Pitois hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match Don got a corner. Reyrieux's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ferdinand Pohu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bruno Bouchez tried in the 77th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Marin Traore a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-1. Marin Traore was a little too slow when Cesar Barel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-2. The Reyrieux supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Don's performance. The match ended with a win for Don.
