Castagniers's supporters rose to their feet, but Lionel Hochard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jules Canal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolphe Bourez in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jules Canal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomas Sollier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Cazin in the 26th minute of the match. Thomas Sollier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Greaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lionel Hochard hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Rodolphe Bourez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Terry Beucher helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Castagniers booed when Traouidan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Castagniers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dan Greaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Castagniers fully deserved thier win.
