Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jacques Georget kicked off to start the match. Calmette's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Steve Gorce in the 5th minute. Patrick Pollet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghislain Tuaillon in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Guillaume Normand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calmette's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belleville the free kick. After 7 played minutes Calmette got a freekick which was hit by Guillaume Normand. Patrick Pollet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ghislain Tuaillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Ghislain Tuaillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Pollet having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ghislain Tuaillon in the 17th minute of play forced Belleville's goalkeeper Patrick Pollet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Calmette's zone, Jacques Georget stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salomon Romieu came out of the goal and Jacques Georget tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Julien Roques fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belleville's protests and gave Julien Roques a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Belleville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julien Roques to maneuver through the defense. When Julien Roques came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Belleville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julien Roques couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute Jacques Georget shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomon Romieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacques Georget had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thierry Pomarede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francois-Xavier Le Henaff kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Thierry Pomarede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Salomon Romieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thierry Pomarede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Jolan Gally came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Calmette fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jolan Gally couldn't finish the play. Patrick Pollet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jolan Gally in the 48th minute of play.
Salomon Romieu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacques Georget, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calmette's goalkeeper Salomon Romieu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Francois-Xavier Le Henaff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ghislain Tuaillon struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Patrick Pollet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calmette. Belleville's Patrick Pollet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Belleville from getting a goal against them. Salomon Romieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thierry Pomarede in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Calmette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francois-Xavier Le Henaff to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Thierry Pomarede managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belleville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thierry Pomarede was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacques Georget in the 85th minute of play forced Calmette's goalkeeper Salomon Romieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belleville's Patrick Pollet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Belleville from getting a goal against them. Calmette's Ghislain Tuaillon got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ghislain Tuaillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Pollet having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Jacques Georget left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belleville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
