Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felix Richard started the match with the kick off. Wilfried Marcy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luka Helin went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jim Lopes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Charier's Paul Clain couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ecouen. After a defensive mix-up in Charier's zone, Francis Gerbeau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damien Tomas came out of the goal and Francis Gerbeau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Charier booed when Ecouen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Baptiste Couvreux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damien Tomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste Couvreux in the 22nd minute of play. Wilfried Marcy made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Luka Helin sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Francis Gerbeau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Charier's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Baptiste Couvreux came free, but Damien Tomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Francis Gerbeau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecouen's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Gerbeau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damien Tomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damien Tomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste Couvreux in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean-Baptiste Couvreux was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Ecouen getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jean-Paul Charpin hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Charier's goalkeeper Damien Tomas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francis Gerbeau. Titouan Hautbois charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Titouan Hautbois the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jean-Baptiste Couvreux had several of the Charier's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Damien Tomas as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Felix Richard fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charier's protests and gave Felix Richard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, Charier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Richard to maneuver through the defense. If Felix Richard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, one of Charier:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mathys Renault walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Jean-Baptiste Couvreux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecouen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Baptiste Couvreux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damien Tomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Francis Gerbeau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damien Tomas. Charier's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francis Gerbeau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of Ecouen booed when Charier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Vogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damien Tomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste Couvreux in the 96th minute of play. Titouan Hautbois was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Titouan Hautbois hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Charier's Damien Tomas got control of the ball when Francis Gerbeau tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ecouen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Charier.
