Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Octave Droguet started the match with the kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Tony Chambonnet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pierrelaye's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Chambonnet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tony Chambonnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 9 minutes, Romeo Spriet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pierrelaye's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Spriet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Leseur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octave Droguet went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 18 played minutes Pierrelaye got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Favreau. Sofiane Terrasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jean-Michel Lebouteiller fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pierrelaye's protests and gave Jean-Michel Lebouteiller a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pierrelaye getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jean-Michel Lebouteiller hit a great ball. Igor Leseur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octave Droguet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bob Brot during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bob Brot kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Sofiane Terrasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Leseur having to interfere. The supporters of Pierrelaye booed when Angle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ethan Maret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierrelaye's Romeo Spriet got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Romeo Spriet came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Pierrelaye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Spriet couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Angle's Gerard Merlen got control of the ball when Romeo Spriet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tony Chambonnet to make the kick off. Gerard Merlen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Spriet, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Romeo Spriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Merlen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Allouche charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Allouche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michael Allouche kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Angle were awarded a corner. Florian Tourne went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Lucien Jeanmaire heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Gerard Merlen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Chambonnet in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pierrelaye's zone, Octave Droguet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Leseur came out of the goal and Octave Droguet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tony Chambonnet in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerard Merlen saved Angle from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Tony Chambonnet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerard Merlen was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Romeo Spriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Chambonnet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerard Merlen having to interfere. Tony Chambonnet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angle's Gerard Merlen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Chambonnet in the 91st minute of play. Gerard Merlen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Spriet in the 98th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Angle walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
