The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dommartin's Darren Arthaud got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bryan Baudrier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marvin Monod, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vivien Pradines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramzi Perriot came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Chatillon's Vivien Pradines. But to his dismay, Vivien Pradines quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Yvan Beaufrere fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chatillon's protests and gave Yvan Beaufrere a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chatillon's Yvan Beaufrere got a free kick in the 24th minute. During the 26th minute of the match Yvan Beaufrere completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Yvan Beaufrere a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 26 played minutes Chatillon got a freekick which was hit by Yvan Beaufrere. Marvin Monod was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Darren Arthaud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Bryan Baudrier made a huge save. Ramzi Perriot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivien Pradines, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Vivien Pradines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ramzi Perriot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darren Arthaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vivien Pradines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramzi Perriot having to interfere. After the first half Chatillon were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Marvin Monod made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Vivien Pradines ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramzi Perriot was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 59 minutes, Vivien Pradines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chatillon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivien Pradines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Arthaud in the 64th minute of play forced Chatillon's goalkeeper Bryan Baudrier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marvin Monod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Chatillon's goal looked a bit too open when Gael Annette came free, but Bryan Baudrier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vivien Pradines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Chatillon booed when Dommartin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Langlet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyprien Bethune helped the player get up and apologised. Gael Annette kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Vivien Lelievre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chatillon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivien Lelievre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Cyprien Bethune got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Darren Arthaud might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bryan Baudrier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darren Arthaud ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chatillon had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
