Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valérien Clamens in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anatole Beaurain saved Louveciennes from getting behind. Willy Delhaye could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Salomez made a huge save. Jimmy Miette might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Salomez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimmy Miette received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferdinand Salomez came out and tried to block the shot, but Jimmy Miette slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
