The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Reda Maridet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donovan Gontier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reda Maridet's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Dorian Milleville took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Malaval. Alexandre Malaval dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 19th minute, Reda Maridet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorian Milleville sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reda Maridet struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Donovan Gontier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volkrange. Dorian Milleville was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Villetaneuse's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Villetaneuse booed when Volkrange was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavien Brosse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villetaneuse's Dorian Milleville got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hocine Delamarre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donovan Gontier having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Romaric Duault fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villetaneuse's protests and gave Romaric Duault a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, Villetaneuse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romaric Duault to maneuver through the defense. Volkrange's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 53rd minute of the game, when Flavien Brosse after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Villetaneuse's goal. Flavien Brosse was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Villetaneuse's Andre Bohn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Malaval narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flavien Brosse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andre Bohn might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Malaval. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andre Bohn ran back to his position shaking his head. Andre Bohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Malaval having to interfere. Reda Maridet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorian Milleville recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Willy Devillers made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Malaval. Volkrange's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Reda Maridet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villetaneuse were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Volkrange for a fine match.
