Volkrange's supporters rose to their feet, but Reda Maridet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salim Durou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Volkrange. Freddy Cavillon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Salim Durou. 0-1. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Volkrange's goalkeeper Alexandre Malaval, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Hocine Delamarre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volkrange and the Coursegoules players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hocine Delamarre kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Coursegoules's Jean-Michel Cave couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Volkrange. Alexandre Malaval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynald Raffray, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Aurelien Castet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reda Maridet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Durou having to interfere. Alexandre Malaval made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Honore Vieillard sent off a good shot on target. Reynald Raffray who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Malaval when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Honore Vieillard made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Malaval. Volkrange's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Reynald Raffray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 played minutes Volkrange got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Cavillon. 46 minutes into the match, Coursegoules's goal looked a bit too open when Reda Maridet came free, but Salim Durou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Coursegoules's Reynald Raffray sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Malaval narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Volkrange's Reda Maridet got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 58 minutes, Reynald Raffray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coursegoules's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynald Raffray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honore Vieillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Malaval having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynald Raffray in the 61st minute of play forced Volkrange's goalkeeper Alexandre Malaval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Honore Vieillard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honore Vieillard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Malaval having to make a save. A collision led to Volkrange getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Hocine Delamarre hit a great ball. In the 88th minute of the match Jean-Michel Cave shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Malaval showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Salim Durou didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2.
