After having played for 14 minutes, Terry Guillaume managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carcot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terry Guillaume was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthieu Jaubert in the 16th minute of play forced Caro's goalkeeper Eric Coumes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Naveau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Couve in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute Jean-Paul Couve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Naveau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caro's Eric Coumes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Caro from getting a goal against them. Terry Guillaume struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Eric Coumes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carcot. If Terry Guillaume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Matthieu Jaubert came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Carcot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthieu Jaubert couldn't finish the play. After 45 minutes, Xavier Leandri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caro and the Carcot players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Carcot booed when Caro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Leandri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthieu Jaubert was the one to do the kick off. Terry Guillaume kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Caro got a freekick which was hit by Robin Sutter. In the 59th minute, Terry Guillaume ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eric Coumes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 69th minute Terry Guillaume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Coumes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthieu Jaubert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Coumes having to make a save. After 80 minutes of play Carcot's Terry Guillaume was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Caro booed when Carcot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Guillaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 minutes, Baptiste Vialard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carcot and the Caro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Baptiste Vialard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes Carcot's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Desire Poidevin who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Yvan Leroi got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-2. 85 minutes into the match. Matthieu Jaubert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthieu Jaubert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Coumes having to interfere. Achille Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Daniel Naveau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caro. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Carcot had won after a very even match.
