The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hubert Sola was the one to do the kick off. Renaud Cortial received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Nelson Biguet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Sola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Biguet having to interfere. Freddy Morere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davy Vallot having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Gennevilliers's Renaud Cortial dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 91st minute, Freddy Morere made a precise shot to the right of Davy Vallot. Gennevilliers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Pontoise's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
