In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gerzat's goalkeeper Barnabé Sale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Bon in the 12th minute of play forced Gerzat's goalkeeper Barnabé Sale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barnabé Sale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Henot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
