In the 12th minute, Vincent Riboulet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cedric Pietri hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Jolan Mange's late challenge caught a Thil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jolan Mange helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Guipavas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jolan Mange to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Antoine Le Bras sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guipavas's Octave Jauffret didn't even have to move. Octave Jauffret stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominique Tritz's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Octave Jauffret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominique Tritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guipavas's goalkeeper Octave Jauffret, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 26th minute, but Guillaume Hiron got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Thil hanging dry this time. Dominique Tritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Octave Jauffret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Dominique Tritz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Octave Jauffret was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alix Lafont in the 34th minute of play forced Guipavas's goalkeeper Octave Jauffret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octave Jauffret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominique Tritz in the 35th minute of the match. Guillaume Hiron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cedric Pietri in the 47th minute. After the first half Thil were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joris Delacour was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominique Tritz in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octave Jauffret prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vincent Riboulet hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Antoine Le Bras sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guipavas's Octave Jauffret didn't even have to move. In the 60thth minute of the game Joris Delacour who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thil's Guillaume Hiron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Octave Jauffret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominique Tritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Joris Delacour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillaume Hiron having to interfere. After 70 minutes, Vincent Riboulet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guipavas and the Thil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute Joris Delacour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillaume Hiron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Joris Delacour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guipavas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joris Delacour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Thil players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
